#材料 <br>椰子油，金屬瓶蓋，棉線，打火機，寶麗龍小球，大頭針，塑膠杯，羊奶瓶，鐡罐，氫氧化鈉，竹筷，鐡鉗，甲醇，蠟，熱水壺。 <br><br />
#製作<br>準備鐡罐與甲醇，加熱椰子油製作肥皂之用。<br><br />
#操作<br>在一顆寶麗龍小球（直徑0.5cm）上插數支大頭針，放在一杯水內；調整針的位置與數量，使寶麗龍球恰好能浮在水上成為一艘船。<br><br />

椰油主要的成分是「三酸甘油脂」，其中由12個碳原子組成的「月桂酸」約佔椰油脂肪的一半分量，藉著燈芯可將椰油汽化而能點燃。<br />
#結果：直接點火或摻其他物質都不易點燃椰子油，因為脂類的蒸汽壓小，揮發物不足；必須使用棉線或小木棒做燈芯。<br />
#結果：以寶麗龍小球做船，必須四支大頭針才能使船浮在兩層液體之間。<br />
#結果：製皂時，用氫氧化鈉使椰油中的甘油分離，並與椰油的酸中和而成為肥皂。若加入橄欖油可使成品不致太硬，加入香料與色素能使成品更美麗。<br />
